At home with @rebeccafaith_home

Happy Friday everyone! Today we're catching up with Rebecca who is expecting her baby any day now with husband Josh! We can't wait to meet baby too!

During the last few weeks how have your days been starting?

Our days always begin a little differently as Josh works shifts, but for me and bump it's usually a slower morning with a cuppa and some 'me' time (I'm making the most of it while I can!) If Josh is off work we usually settle in our kitchen-diner and make an effort for breakfast with pancakes or croissants before getting on with our day.

Where is your favourite space in your home right now? My new favourite room has to be the nursery. We decorated it at the start of lockdown and it's been lovely to have it ready and be able to get organised with a special place for all her things!

Where do you find your inspiration or time to think? I love to scroll Instagram and get inspiration from lots of beautiful accounts. I also keep interior books on our coffee table and living room shelves to dip into and get ideas!

We love your nursery, what would be your top styling tips?

My top 3 nursery styling tips would be:

Think it through and make a mood board before you begin. Consider the aesthetic but also the practical! I made three mood boards as I had so many ideas and then narrowed my choices down to one. This way you can organise your thoughts and keep things more intentional and cohesive.

Nursery furniture can be expensive so consider a wide chest of drawers instead of a changing table and a cot that converts into a toddler bed so you get more years use out of it.

Add personality to the room through accessories that reflect your style. I found little wooden toys and cute booties online. You can also get creative here with DIY's, we made our own baby mobile and play gym!

Finally if you would recommend one product home or baby and a baby store which ones would they be and why?

We are yet to try out our purchases but one thing I am excited to use is our Tutti Bambini next to me crib. It's so easy to set up and it will be really practical for the first months; we also love how it looks!

(We had ours in the Mothercare sale but they can still be found online).

Recommended baby store:

It's really worth browsing Etsy for unique hand made baby items. I've also loved the products from The Little Green Sheep Company. Their Moses basket is sitting proudly in our living room! https://www.thelittlegreensheep.co.uk/furniture-decor/moses-baskets/

Thank you Rebecca for sharing your family home and at such an exciting time! Best wishes and we look forward to meeting your baby too! Take care!
