Hi, we're Maria, Mikey and Ella! We live in a 3 bed new build in Leeds. It’s our ‘for now’ house as we want to move to Australia in the near future, but we’re making it a home nonetheless!
Through your daily steps around your home we’d love to know..
How your day begins ..
Pre-lockdown:
We get up, make the bed and get dressed together before I take Ella to childcare and set off to work.
In lockdown:
We get up, cuddle, make the bed and then get dressed and go downstairs for breakfast. Then we have a coffee and watch Little Baby Bum for a while (so my coffee can be consumed)
Where is your favourite space in your home right now?
My fave space has to be our living room, just because we have double doors which open up onto the garden. We recently did a little makeover on the garden, so I just love how it feels like an extension of our living room now!
Where do you find your inspiration or time to think?
I usually spend a bit of time on Pinterest to get some inspiration. However there’s some fab groups on Facebook now with DIY and Mrs Hinch Home tips, all on a budget which is great. I get an idea in my head and it has to get done within a day or two, so keeping costs down is a must so that I can get it all done. I’m always thinking of things to do, it never stops!
What would be your top 3 nursery styling/mummy tips or best baby buys?
Buy a cot that’s also a cot bed for longevity.
On another note for longevity, get a changing top which removes so you’re left with drawers and space on top to decorate with a lamp etc when they’re too big for it.
Choose decor that will grow with baby for a few years. I kept Ella’s walls neutral and bought rose gold polka dot decals from amazon, and added a princess canopy to add a feature. It cost all of £15, so was super cheap and simple to do. I just added photos as I went along to add more decor touches.
