Thank you for joining us today, we'd love to know how your day begins at home with your children..
Our day starts with a wake up call from our youngest, who has one thing on her mind; breakfast!
Once we’re all awake we head down to the kitchen for breakfast. The children insist on helping prepare the table, getting the bowls, cereals and spoons out, whilst I head straight for the coffee machine!
After we’ve all eaten we head back upstairs to get ready, cue our youngest instigating a catwalk. Sarah: I love the sound of that!!
Where is your favourite space in your home right now?
My favourite space right now is our bedroom. We’ve recently added panelling and painted the feature wall darker to give it a hotel look. Around our home I love using pops of colour to add character, but in our master bedroom I’ve tried to create a sense of calm by using whites and greys inspired by The White Company.
Where do you find your inspiration or time to think?
The children are very energetic during the day and so take up a lot of my time. These fun filled moments are often followed by a little quiet time. This is when I manage to make myself a hot drink, flick through a home brochure or have a scroll through Instagram.
Being a mum of 2 children what would be your top 3 nursery styling tips or best baby buys?
Invest in a cot bed with a good mattress. We used ours for both children. We bought white nursery furniture and added colour through accessories. This meant we could easily transform it from a boy’s room to a girl’s.
Practical storage! Children accumulate lots of stuff which is better hidden in a drawer, cupboard or stored in pretty baskets.
Our best baby buy was an Ewan the sheep. We had one for both children from new-born and we believe Ewan was the reason behind them being good sleepers!
Nursery accessories and blankets I purchased from The White Company. Favourite shops for baby clothes were Joules and Mini Boden. My favourite baby store to shop in was and still is JoJo Maman Bébé.
